Dr. Walter Koppel

With over 25 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Koppel's specialties make him ideal to serve as the MEDEX Medical Director. His experience in obtaining his MBA as well as his MD and MPH degrees has him prepared to work with medical emergencies in the corporate world. Dr. Koppel became a MEDEX Physician Advisor in 1992 and was appointed Medical Director in 1995. Since that time, he has provided medical oversight on thousands of cases around the world. Dr. Koppel currently oversees the MPA panel and monitors the treatment of MEDEX patients worldwide.

William Irwin

Bill Irwin brings a formidable array of law enforcement, intelligence, military, and security expertise to his position as MEDEX's Security Director.  Spanning almost 40 years, Irwin's career developing, implementing and evaluating international security and crisis management programs - honed in both the private sector and in government/military service - affords him a unique perspective on the increasingly volatile security situations facing companies and travelers today.  It also provides him with the experience factors needed to not only respond to situations after they occur, but to anticipate potential problem areas and avoid or at least mitigate the risks they represent.
